حدثني يونس قال: ثنا ابن وهب قال: قال ابن زيد في قول الله (إِنَّا عَرَضْنَا الأمَانَةَ عَلَى السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأرْضِ وَالْجِبَالِ فَأَبَيْنَ أَنْ يَحْمِلْنَهَا وَأَشْفَقْنَ مِنْهَا)
قال: إن الله عرض عليهن الأمانة أن يفترض عليهن الدين، ويجعل لهن ثوابًا وعقابًا، ويستأمنهن على الدين
فقلن: لا نحن مسخرات لأمرك، لا نريد ثوابًا ولا عقابًا،
قال رسول الله صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم: وعرضها الله على آدم، فقال: بين أذني وعاتقي.
قال ابن زيد، فقال الله له: أما إذ تحملت هذا فسأعينك:
أجعل لبصرك حجابًا إذا خشيت أن تنظر إلى ما لا يحل لك، فأرْخ عليه حجابه. وأجعل للسانك بابًا وغلقًا، فإذا خشيت فأغلق. وأجعل لفرجك لباسًا، فلا تكشفه إلا على ما أحللت لك.

Its founder, Pavel Durov, described this as “the largest digital migration in human history.” Signal reportedly doubled its user base to 40 million people and became the most downloaded app in 70 countries. The two services rely on encryption to protect the privacy of user communication, which has made them popular with protesters seeking to conceal their identities against repressive governments in places like Belarus, Hong Kong, and Iran. But the same encryption technology has also made them a favored communication tool for criminals and terrorist groups, including al Qaeda and the Islamic State.
